The Retreat Network

We will embark on our journey by immersing ourselves in the Sufi teachings of purification, illumination, & union with the divine. Sufism integrates Judaism, Christianity, & Islam into a single prophetic body of spiritual knowledge. As we become acquainted with this ancient tradition we will learn the Sufi practice of remembrance, the chanting of the name of god in our heart where the divine lives within us. Our heart is the chamber through which god is revealed. It is the divine realm where our humanity & our soul communes with god.

We will learn to identify the qualities that god possesses & how to activate these qualities in ourselves with grace. Through Sufi meditation & contemplation we will discover ways to apply these practices to our everyday lives, exploring our relationships with loved ones & finding new ways to understand our health & our financesÑintegrating our physiological, psychological, & social natures. Most importantly, as we progress in our journey, we will gather together to call on godÕs name, moving closer to oneness.

By establishing a daily practice, you will stay connected to the divine anywhere & everywhere.Each session has itÕs oun unique theme of spiritual teachings and is taught independently of the others. Your progress is cumulative but not linear. Sufi practices will be repeated in each session. If you miss one session, you will pick up where you left off in the next. Through daily practice, you will eventually gain a new understanding & experience of the divine in everyday life. My teaching will address the needs of your heart, & your heart will address its needs directly to god.
